The recent cold snap along the Outer Banks this winter has really turned the catching on. From Rodanthe to Hatteras the puppy drum bite has been excellent; schools of pups right in the wash have been really hitting the jigs with Berkley Gulp being the hot ticket. Speckled trout have been mixed in with the pups; some to 6 pounds and a few stripers are also being caught.
All in all some of the best winter fishing in years!
